Focus: Invasive Insects

Native and invasive insects kill trees on millions of acres of forests in North America and around the world.  MBAI isolated and is developing natural fungal pathogens of native bark beetles and invasive aphids and adelgids to limit the spread and control these insects in high value areas of forest.

We are collaborating with key university researchers to understand biology of these fungi in forest habitats and with the US Forest Service in field trials.
